Wireless POWER!

Yes... that's right, I said WIRELESS POWER. Some real smart guys at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) are pioneering the field on wireless power and needless to say they are generating some serious interest. We see more and more wireless (mobile) applications being lunched that are still evidently dependent on wired power. With wireless power mobile applications can now become true mobile application.

MyBraai

About a week ago my wife and I were fortunate enough to move into our new house. It is part of a complex of units, nice secure and quiet.

My wife really likes this place because we were able to buy from the plan so everything is new. She can decorate the house from scratch and make it look nice, just the way she likes.

And I, what do I like best...? MyBraai!

For you yanks it will be the barbecue area. Over here in South Africa we make a fire, then we sit around the fire with friends or family and have a good time. Once the fire has made some nice coals you put a grid over the coals and braai those juicy lamb chops or anything you like, beef, chicken, fish or game.

For us South Africans this is part of who we are, a man without a braai is a man…with a problem.

Just for the record we have lived in our new house for 11 days and I have already braaied 3 times.

Tata’s 20k wave

Tata keep on making heads turn. The heads really turned when Tata introduced there Telcoline double cab pick up truck (bakkie) at R149.000 a couple of years ago.

Next Neotel (South Africa's Second National Telecommunications Operator) announced that one of Tata’s companies, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) who have been in the Telecommunications game for 135 year, will play a big roll in Neotel.

This week Tata have announced that they will produce a vehicle that would sell for around $2 500 (R17 825).
Apparently the car will not meet the European safety standards, according to the report.

My thinking is, If the car is safer than a beach buggy, runs light on fuel, parts and service are freely available and cheap, then I will give is a go.

Its still cheaper and safer than a motor bike.

Welcome to The BellyButton

TheBellyButton is my blog, something like MySpace but not really.

Now you mite asked why did I chose Blogspot.com a Google.com product and not MySpace.com to host my blog. Well its simple, I truly “smaak” Google.com. Google Rock! I like the way they work, I like their approach to the internet and I like the fact that they believe in free stuff. Then there is the fact that they are 1 SMART company with a good sense of humor.

See some of the funny pranks that Google came up with. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Pranks

So I said to myself, “self why not support them, they give you cool stuff like G-Mail, G-Talk, Adsense and tones more, not to mention the fact that they are the best search engine?” Thats why I use Blogspot.com.

On this blog I will share some of the Google products that I found use full or not.

Now there is the thing about the name of my blog…

Why the name “TheBellyButton” as the name for my blog?

It is actually very simple, because everyone has one! Everyone has an opinion and I would like to invite you to share your opinion on my blog. We mite not agree on everything, but that’s fine. As long as you respect my blog and my audience then you are more than welcome to join in the fun.

Ok lets set the stage for commenting, the Terms and Conditions.

We all know there are individuals out there that will never have respect for anybody or anything. They will call people names and say things that are unprofessional, disrespectful and just not worth listing to (in this case, worth reading about.)

So, no name calling, no swearing, no disrespectful writing, and if you were wonder, NO Blaspheming. That’s the term and conditions for commenting on my blog.

Now lets start having fun!
